JOURNAL WRITING GUIDELINES

Khairukum: Journal of Community Service STIQ Isy Karima, Gerdu Karangpandan, Karanganyar, Central Java

WRITING GUIDELINES

Khairukum is a biannual journal dedicated to community service and assistance. Published by STIQ Isy Karima in Karanganyar, Central Java, inviting contributions from scholars and researchers from various related disciplines.

 

Submitted articles must meet the following criteria:

  1. Articles must be relevant to the specified theme.
  2. The work must be original work, free from plagiarism or falsification of data, never previously published in any scientific journal or book, and not simultaneously submitted to another magazine.
  3. Articles are written in standard Indonesian, maximum length 25 pages, on B5 size paper, using Book Antiqua font, 12 pt, and 1.1 spacing.

 

The article structure should include:

  • Title (no more than 20 words)
  • Author's name (no title)
  • Author affiliation
  • Author's email address
  • Abstract (no more than 200 words, written in Indonesian and English)
  • Keywords (no more than five words)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review
  • Research methods
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Reference

 

References are written in footnote format, following the Khairukum Journal style.

For indirect quotations, include the author's last name and year. Example: Libraries have historically valued the intellectual freedom and confidentiality of visitors (LaRue, 2007).

For direct quotes, use quotation marks ("...") and include the page number. Example: Darwin used the metaphor of the tree of life “to express another form of interconnectedness—genealogical rather than ecological” (Gould & Brown, 1991, p. 14).

 

Reference Format:

  • Book example: Kreitner, R., & Kinicki, A. (2001). Organizational behavior. New York: McGraw Hills.
  • Example of a journal article: Netemeyer, R.G., Boles, J.S., & McMurrian, R. (1996). "Development and Validation of the Work-Family Conflict Scale and the Work-Family Conflict Scale." Journal of Applied Psychology, 81, 400-410.

 

The bibliography should be arranged alphabetically. Transliteration follows specified guidelines.

Submit articles in properly formatted softcopy MS Word (RTF).
